A giving God means a giving people

Everything that God wants us to do for Him, He wants to be done in response to what He has done for us.

As C.T. Studd famously said – ‘If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him.’

I see how I am to live my life in the life of Christ. He is our example and the one we follow. He gave everything for us and that leaves us little wriggle room if we claim to be his followers.

This morning we are looking at Giving. As a church. we have been able to bless so many people and situations in the last 12 months for which we give God the glory.

   We give because He has given everything for us.
   We bless because we are a blessed people.
   We love because God has lavished His love on us.

Our talk will focus on 2 Corinthians 8 & 9 which ends with this marvellous phrase – “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift.”
