Thankyou Lord for answered prayer!
About 18 months ago on a Friday prayer night, we gathered round the baptistry in the minor hall. First we gave thanks for the many people who had made a public confession of their faith over the years and also prayed for those who had subsequently fallen away. However the main point of the prayer time was to ask God to open up the baptistry and give us occasions where once again as a church we could celebrate the baptism of individuals.
Well - so far this year, we have used it twice, for Bob and Beryl back in April and today for Emma. We were also able to let the Tanzanian church use it for some baptisms they were doing. Thank you Lord!
So is that the end?
No, we carry on praying and believing for more, for God's glory. We also commit ourselves as a church to the pastoring of those individuals who have been baptised. We want to see them continue to grow as Christians.
We thank God for Emma and pray God's continued blessing on her today and in the years ahead. We are so pleased that we have the Nieuwoudt family with us - again an answer to prayer to God for families.
