The greatest danger to the Christian faith in our country at the moment is the religious level playing field that our political leaders are trying to create in the name of social cohesion and unity. We have many faiths as they put it - all of which these days tend to be treated equally, as city councils strive for inclusion and equality and schools want to demonstrate diversity and fairness.

 

Others will speak of the increase of spirituality as a good sign, but this is usually just another name for anything goes. What feels right for you is what is deemed right for you. There are no absolutes, nothing called truth - just subjective personal feelings.

 

Well grab hold of this - Jesus Christ is risen from the dead! He is alive!  He has conquered sin and death! He is one day returning as the King of Kings!

 

This is the Easter message, but even in saying that, we are misrepresenting it. It is THE Christian message, the very essence of what we believe. Without it we are just another faith - an ancient form of spirituality.

 

As we have stated as part of our world viewpoint in our 5 B's - 'We respect an inidividual's free will and choices, but in terms of our faith affirm the unique claim of Jesus to be THE way, THE truth and THE life.'
